The Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend has been a popular rally for all motor enthusiasts and, in particular, owners of veteran, vintage and classic vehicles, for the last 27 years. It has developed a reputation as an ever more interesting and enjoyable event and is now run by the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge.
As an added bonus, on Sunday morning, visitors to Hebden Bridge can watch the Historic Commercial Vehicle Society’s famous ‘Trans Pennine Run’ pass through the town. Hebden Bridge is an ideal location to watch this magnificent collection of historic vehicles as they wind their way across the Pennines, en route from Manchester to Harrogate.
Once again, on Sunday, there will be a ‘Scenic Run’ giving all participants a chance to meet beforehand and take part in this popular event, arriving at the rally field around midday. We hope to distribute a memento of the event and a welcome pack to all entrants.
Judging will be on the ‘self judging’ basis with all entrants being given the chance to vote for all classes. There will be prizes for each individual class. Held in the heart of Hebden Bridge, on Calder Holmes Park, the event attracts hundreds of vehicles, of a wide variety and age.
This is an event with something to please the whole family, it is far from being merely a show for collectors. There will be produce and craft stalls amongst a variety of others, plus entertainers on both days.
The town centre, with its wealth of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs is only a few minutes walk from the park. Hebden Bridge is worth a visit, if just to see what the British Airways In-Flight magazine described as ‘One of the most funky towns in the world’.
Throughout the weekend there will be a wide variety of stalls and entertainment on the park including rides and other entertainment for children, live music and catering facilities. Additional toilets will be provided by the organisers and there will be First Aiders in attendance, on both days. The park also has a children’s play area.
Admission prices are: £10-family with up to 3 children
£4-adults
(children to be accompanied by an adult)
There are a number of competition classes, catering for a wide variety of vehicles, as follows:

The rally will be open to the public from 10.00 am each day and will be clearly sign-posted from the main road through Hebden Bridge. The 2008 rally attracted over 500 entrants and over 10,000 visitors. The rally is organised by The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge who are part of a worldwide group, dedicated to helping those in need and working towards world understanding and peace. Any profits made from organising the rally will be used by the club to further these aims, by supporting projects in the UK and worldwide. Club members and other volunteers freely devote many hundreds of working hours to create a safe and attractive event that gives pleasure to many thousands of people.
